Headlight signature lights failed

A little while ago the passenger side headlight signature lights failed. Tesla sent a ranger who replaced it for me, no issues there.
Now the drivers side has gone out.
I'm curious how many others have seen this.

Same exact fact pattern for me. Now I dont know if I want to have them do the drivers’ side quite yet. Have they actually fixed the part? I had to pay to have my passenger side XPEL’d again. If it fails again I won’t be a happy camper.

The drivers’ side failed 4 days after I got the passenger side fixed.

The replacements are failing in the same manner. I'd wait until they get the issue completely resolved before getting it fixed, personally.

I've had my driver's side fixed, and the passenger side appears to be on the way out.

I hadn’t heard of replacements failing before, only that if one went out that the other would likely follow.
When the first one died, the replacement was definitely redesigned, it had a different mounting. Maybe it was improved for reliability.

What is a 'signature' light?

Others call them "Accent Lights"
They are the curved LED strips under and to the outside of the main headlights, but still within the housing.

Accent light is a better name for them I think.

Although they are accent lights, Tesla calls them Signature Lights so I think that is the appropriate term to use.

Mine failed too. I was wondering why the reflection was dimmer on one side. The top DRL are on but that thin lining part failed.

My driver's side failed. Tesla replaced it with a "new reversion" and it seems to be holding just fine. They were going proactively replace the passenger side, but they said that it was already the latest reversion.

Not that it’s easy to check, but the new revision has one less mounting bolt.
Someone who has the front bumper off may find that useful

Looks like it is very common problem. Mine passer side failed and my friends driver side failed. To me it seems the led strip is slipping to lower position somehow and that is causing the issue.

Not the first thread. I’m on my 2’nd drivers side replacement as of yesterday. NEW par number. Ends in -00-I (as in capital ‘eye’ not 1). My first replacement that failed again ended in -00-G. Check your invoices.

How long did it take before yours was replaced. I've been waiting 3 weeks now. Ranger service tech called and said ordered part Oct 24th, but still no call back.

UPDATE: A few months in now on the 2’nd replacement with no issues. 2’nd replacement part # ends in -00-I.

It’s not just the Model 3. Driver side Model S (2016 refreshed) failed, then passenger side, then driver side again. I’m just going to wait for the other side to burn out again then they will be even.

My 2016 Model S has a bad DRL/Signature light. The inner edge has turned yellow. My car is over 50K and out of warranty. I wonder if I can get the bulb replaced for less than $1000!!
