Our June 2015 build 85D was ordered with the standard leather seats. 16,000 miles later we are wishing we had ordered the Next Gen seats but had a couple of questions. Researching and searching shows a lot of comments about body size and shape and the bolsters being to tight etc etc etc. However we haven't been able to find any comments on the softness of the seats and the head rest. Coming from a long leniage of BMW 7 series with executive seats and upgraded interior we really like soft supportive seats and head rests. A couple of questions for those that have used or experienced both seats in the Model S
1: Is the cushioning on the Next Gen seas any softer than the standard seats? (Not leather but cushions)
2: The headrests in all the pictures we have seen look as if they are a little different position between the two. Are the Next Gen headrests more comfortable and are they any softer on your head.
Thank you Tesla Community

If you have a store nearby it's probably best to just go try for yourself? Nobody here can really tell you if the seats will feel "right" to your body...
