Tesla installed a first alert HD6135FB heat monitor. It’s a hard wired product with a battery backup.

Tesla did not hard wire it. The install passed inspection with the City. I still emailed Tesla about it, and they said they would get back to me. They haven’t so far.

It lasted two months on the battery backup before it started beeping.

Do you have any advice? Do they typically not hard wire the heat monitor?

Typically they need to be hard wire interconnected to your smoke alarms by code. Power is a bonus.

Update: I filed a complaint with the contractors state licensing board. They contacted Tesla; Tesla fixed it.
