Heat pump acoustic cover

Well it looks like those of us with early Y vins are in luck, they are retrofitting already the acoustic cover for the heat pump. It’s just basically an insulating blanket type cover.
But hey it’s something.

I don’t have an answer I have to take it anyway to SC to get the tail lights also fixed so I just asked to add that.

Just scheduled an appointment with LA service center for heat pump retrofit & rear seat rattling sound. They texted me and told me they aren't addressing any rattling/vibration noise issues at this moment because I need to ride with their technicians. If I can submit a video, they will review it.

Yes if you don't tack on another repair that requires the SC involvement.

My mobile service is scheduled for the 21st.

Can you see it without removing any plastic cover or is it by the noise that you can determine if there is a cover?

supposedly can be seen if you take the top cover off and peek inside but i haven't tried.

It's easy to see if you pop the plastic cover off. It's a ~1\8" thick black blanket.

I took this pic to show the 74 kWh sticker, but you can clearly see the compressor cover on the left of the image.

Do you have the ODB2 App Scan My Tesla? If so, can you give the "Full Pack When New" value?

I have 77.8 kWh on my M3D, but I don't have this sticker.

Note: If I remember, the sticker used to have the build date.

I thought it was gonna be a hard plastic shell around it, I wonder if the blanket is just a temp fix until they can get a mold done. Anyone still have noise issues that has the blanket?

No, that is what the Model 3 has. We haven't seen anything about the Model Y having anything other than the acoustic cover that has been shown.
