Heated front seats in base?

Given that the options list includes heated seats in their description of the $5k upgrade package.... extremely doubtful.

If that's all you really want and you don't care about anything else (say, the glass roof, the nicer trim, power seats, etc), just add them in aftermarket.

Not as unlikely as you might think.

If you look at the Premium Upgrades Package for the Model S, it lists "Heated seats for every passenger". However, the Model S does come with heated front seats as standard, despite that vague wording for what the upgraded package includes.

The S spec sheet mentions the standard heated seats:

Press Kit | Tesla Canada

The 3 does not.

Once again an anti-sell but not much of one since they want to sell the PUP for all cars. I bet the base 3 doesn't have heated anything. But another missing item even in the PUP seems to be the heated steering wheel. The included 'winter' features seem to only include heated seats and mirrors.

Model 3 will have front heated seats as standard.

There was a hint by MotorTrend too.
Premium package adds heating to the rear.
Steering wheel heating is a mystery right now.
It should be there. At least for EU/Canada.

There is no evidence of this except people carrying this on from their experience with the S and X. I can't believe it wouldn't be clearly stated if the base 3 had it.

Edit: The presskit states PUP includes heated seats and premium seats 'throughout'. You can parse that as you like, but it sounds like all heated seats are part of premium.

And it may be, like dual motors, they may have not built any base cars (without PUP). Who knows, at this point. They have been concentrating on the one combo they wanted to get going: RWD and PUP, Long Range battery.

Well the most basic BMW 3-series has front seat heaters as standard.
Mitsubishi iMiEV, one of the worst latest EV's, has seat heating.
Missing front seat heaters means new headlines like:
"Tesla cripples Model 3 base version".

Elon promised that even the base version will be an awesome car.
Therefore front seat heaters will be standard.
Also it costs money not to have seat heating at front on some versions (different wiring, different seat part numbers).
