Heated steering wheel?

Any word on a possible retrofit ? My wife has a 2021 Y we purchased in November and she really misses it. I’m hoping something is available before next winter.

I purchased heated gloves instead of waiting for a retrofit that may never come. The heated gloves are also great for just walking around and when using the snow blower.

Curious also. How could you install heated wheel if it wasn’t an option? How would you turn it on and off ? Plenty of nice aftermarket carbon and or leather wheels out there that are heated

Everything on a Tesla is run via software. Even if you buy a heated steering wheel, it would have to be registered/programmed to the car to have the proverbial "button" to appear in the user interface. Not sure if Tesla would be willing to do that as all the options on the car are coded to the VIN.

Oddly enough, Porsches are a bit different. As long as the hardware is OEM Porsche and they do the retrofit, they will recode the car to have additional equipment coded to the VIN.

Doubt they would. They told me no on adding tow mode when I put aftermarket hitch on. But the service center in Alpharetta GA is douchey.. maybe another would

At this point, there's also the supply chain issue. Given demand, are there any steering wheels available in the system for sale to folks who want to retrofit?
