Greetings; new owner of an August 2020 Long Range AWD Model Y here! I've not owned a Tesla before, but have owned and driven a succession of Nissan LEAFs as my only vehicles since July of 2011. The much higher Tesla purchase price deterred my making the upgrade, but I hope to have more occasion to drive longer distances, now that I'm retired. Goaded my the lecture some friends gave me about how only an idiot would buy stock in any company with Tesla's "atrocious financial fundamentals", I bought 80 shares of it, whimsically telling myself that "haha; maybe it'll go up big enough to help pay for one of their cars". Well, after 18 months, I traded some of those shares for the model Y.

So far, I'm hugely enjoying the Y, with only mild disappointments over the seemingly frivolous over-techy features.
