Hi everyone. I am John Parsey, new organizer for the AZ TMC. After several years of starting and coordinating the AZ TMC group, Mark Rohde has turned it over to me. We have had a number of fun gatherings at various places in AZ. I hope to get more activities going with the Arizona groups. Andy McLeod organizes the Tucson group, which is also part of the AZ activities group. I am also the president of the Central & Northern Tesla Owners Group.

We are looking for new places to meet. One idea, now that there is a charger in Tucson, is to gather at Kitt Peak in late Feb or early March (when it warms a bit). I discussed this with the Kitt Peak staff. They can handle about 50 cars, and have places for picnicking (no cafe, sorry). We could have a potluck like the Wickenburg meeting. Let me know your thoughts.

Another spot is Karchner Caverns southeast of Tucson. Sedona tends to be crowded on weekends, or we could go to Flagstaff, or take the wine train in Verde Valley. An interesting place with some history is La Posada (Home - La Posada Hotel), great restaurant, every room is different, trains go by the backyard, and they have power.

Benedetta Machado, also helps coordinate group activities. Respond to this note, and we will begin to gather ideas.
    Best regards to all

Hi! Well, my vote would be for warm places to meet until late spring/summer. Kitt Peak would be great but not that early in the year because of elevation and temperature.

I’ve been wanting to visit the missile silo south of Tucson but it has been hard to do the trip and back from Scottsdale. Sounds like they have plenty of room and with the Tucson supercharger quite easy now.
Agreed with the previous post, I would love to go to Kitt Peak as well but perhaps when it is a little bit warmer. Great photo up though.

Thank you so very much for stepping in John. You are a good man.

There is plenty to do right around the valley as well (just as we have done some time ago). The Model 3's are rolling in to our state and we might want to do something after the holidays so the folks can see them. (Just a thought).

One more thing, I have thrown my bicycle in the back and rode up Mt. Lemmon - But I know they are limited on the top and while we'll all be charging on the way down, it will be an energy suck on the way up. The views are fantastic. AND if we show up somewhere in a large group can we get a discount? [If we were to go to a museum or something]
    Cheers!

I'll vote for Kitt Peak, but Biosphere II intrigues me too.

    Hi
Yes, that is why waiting until late Feb or early March before we go- want temperatures to be in the 60's at least.
    Stay tuned.

    Hi
We took the car up to the top last spring. You get most of the juice back on the downslope. The parking at the top is a bit limited, but there are some cute places to stop for coffee and a cookie the size of a dinner plate. Maybe we could arrange for parking closer to the ski area- will have to check. It just snowed there...

    Hi
we have not been to the biosphere in 20 years. They had a lot of space- could be a nice day trip. there is a cafe that has a reasonable array of food, plus outdoor seating. I will check into this for a group rate.
