    Quick Summary

My Alliant specialist has said the longest they could stretch my loan out is October 17, but my vehicle shows a delivery date of October 21- Nov 2.

My loan was approved for the promotional 0.99% APR which expires 9/30. So if I wanted to/could reapply, today is the last day.

My delivery specialist told me yesterday my car was "done production and should be on its way soon and "it should be ready to go before then".

    My questions:

When exactly is payment due? When the car is shipped or when it actually arrives at the dealership?

Can I just have Alliant send payment now?

Overall, I just don't want to have to reapply, but If I have to reapply after 9/30, I will prolly get the standard APR around 3%.

    What do I do?

There's a big chance the .99 APR will stay as they keep talking about false deadlines to rush orders but then they keep it.
I know this doesn't help you a lot.. but don't trust Tesla on exact delivery dates, when times come to make a delivery appointment, you will easily lose a few days.

Same thing happened to me, but I wasn't up against any promo and was with a different lender (TechCU). In my case, I needed a final MVPA and TechCU overnighted the check on the delivery date.

I would suggest calling Alliant and asking them what you can do, unless somewhere here can speak on their behalf. I don't think there's much this forum can do for you.

Payment is due as the car is shipped. You can have payment sent to you. You will be on the hook for paying the note as soon as Alliant cuts you a check. The window for making your first actual payment usually has some minor flex (a few days here or there) and you can call the credit issuer to adjust.

You'll get an email from Tesla a few days or a week or so before you pick the car up at the service center (no dealerships) that payment is due.
You can probably send them the money anytime, ask you delivery specialist for the instructions, but just be careful not to sign any of the delivery/purchase paperwork until you've had the opportunity to look the car over and are satisfied you got what you ordered. Until you sign the delivery papers, you have leverage if something is wrong. Otherwise, you're in a "we'll fix it later" queue.
Not in any way trying to cast doubt on the process or the people; just noting that some folks have signed for the car sight unseen and have regretted it.

My only concern is getting Alliant to send the check so I can lock in the 0.99

If your car is "done production" why would it take so long to get to you?

My car went into production week of June 5th and I picked up June 17.

Just have Alliant transmit the fund by October 17. It'll show up in your Tesla account as paid within a day or so. So what if you pick up a car a few days later with that interest rate.
