Help: Bosch Icon Wiper blades - can't seem to install them!

I'm trying to install the Bosch 19OE blade and something is blocking it from going in the last 1/4". I've shaved it back as shown in the photos (and then some). After battling it for a while I'm stumped. Has anyone encountered this and have a suggestion?

Is that the correct adapter you used? Doesn't look right from the picture.

Used the #4 adaptor. Those pictures aren’t mine but I’m having the same exact trouble where that last 1/5” can’t seem to make contact and latch on.

Is the piece that snaps directly onto the wiper blade facing the correct direction ?

I believe I did it correctly
Aligned it with the arrows to snap it in place

Did you try just pushing a little harder? Sometimes they just stick a little and then snap in place.

Hmm I’ll try again later but I did push it quite hard earlier … I saw videos where it seemed to have snapped in easily..

Why are people going to this great length to adapt 3rd party blades when you can buy Tesla blades that you know fit right out of the box and easy install? Are we really talking about saving a lot of money for all the hassle. Do these 3rd party blades do the job? Size and fit?

I've been using these on all 3 of my vehicles for over 5 years and they work great. Best I've tried and better than what came with the car, especially in the winter.

Been using Bosch icon for many years on my previous cars but mainly because I had a 25 dollar Amazon gift card. The previous posts made it seem like an easy mod.

Still haven’t got a chance to try fitting it again though

So I was finally able to get it to fit.
For some background I’m driving a 2021 MY.

After taking a closer look and fumbling around with it. It seemed the adaptor needed to be shaved off more. It was getting caught onto the wiper arm.

Anyway thanks to everyone who helped. The wiper works great but needed some more work. Hopefully it helps others.
