Coils have plenty of clearance. My drive way is steeper than any multi-storey ramp I've ever seen, and it's fine (my wife's A4 used to catch if you didn't approach it at a slight angle, where the Tesla is absolutely fine). Not been bothered at all by speed humps.
I've driven both air and coil, the former in a loan car for a few days, the latter my own car.
In terms of steering / ride feel they are different. It's a personal preference thing here. Hard to be explicit it's a subjective matter, the air seems to float better, but the coils seem a bit more connected. TBH the biggest ride factor is the wheels you put on.
No idea how significant the lower ride height is in terms of efficiency at speed. I didn't do any motorway trips in the loaner.
If you were planning on having the car a long time, the maintenance expense of air suspension systems might be a factor, when outside warranty.
