Would you mind clarifying how the adoption of your children results in zero federal tax liability for the next three years? You earn enough to afford a Tesla but pay no federal taxes, I am interested to hear how that works.
Not sure what the poster will say, but I think the misconception here is that he/she needs to make a big salary to afford a Tesla and hence is in a high tax bracket. My situation, I pay no taxes because I am retired and the amount of money I pull out of retirement savings is taxed at such a low rate that our other similar tax credits and deductions reduce it to zero. Our savings is what buys the car, not a salary. Another scenario is that someone might have gotten aa large injury award which is not taxable. Lots of ways to afford a Tesla
