Helping a friend make a decision

Yeah, I'm trying to have fun here... so sue me.
A very good friend of mine posted a (not very serious) poll on Google Plus whether he should do a kitchen remodel or whether he should buy a Model S.
Apparently too many of his friends are rational people and the poll is not going well so far.
But I figured I might be able to get some help here to get him the right message.
