Put a deposit on a 75D CPO which comes with a HEPA filter.
From its history that it was replaced in Nov 2018, so still have another year or so left before I have to replace it.

I thought about replacing it myself DIY but the one video online I watched.....seriously??? it looked like it took the guy 5 hrs, he started during bright daylight and ended up using spotlights and finishing at night.

Anyone else replaced their own HEPA filter on MS?

I just cleaned mine, didn't need to be replaced. It took me about 45 minutes today, pretty simple.
Here are the steps from non-car guy, I just like DIY stuff:
  1. Pop off all the shell around the front trunk. All of these pieces just snap in and snap out, no tools needed. I pulled off the large piece at the back. There is a piece on each side and 1 in the front.
  2. Pull off the weather stripping. Yes, its comes off and goes back on really easy. There is a groove in the bottom that you just fit in the sides of the frunk into.
  3. Lift out the felt liner. There are 2 lights in the front, however. You can pop them out and then push them through the hole, or if you look closely on the connection, there is a little lever that you can push down and pull the wire out. EASY!
  4. Now you should see the main frunk base. There are bunch of bolt holding that in. I didn't count, but easily 12 to 16 of them. These came off easily with my drill with a 10mm socket attachment. A ratchet works fine as well. If you don't have a 10mm, a 7/16 is close enough. Once all the bolts are removed, the Frunk just lifts out. You will need both hands but it isnt very heavy.
  5. VOILA! The HEPA Filter! It is NOT attached to anything, it stays where it is with pressure from the Frunk, which you just removed. You can just lift it out of there.
Mine was a bit dirty (only 24k miles), so I turned it upside down and banged out the loose stuff, and spent 5 minutes with my shop-vac cleaning up between the folds etc. It is much cleaner now.
Last step, reverse what you did, very easy!

Note : Once you finish step 4 and remove the Frunk, you have access to the 12v battery if you ever need to replace that. Im guessing the SC will charge you an arm and a leg, but now you will see how easy it is.

Hope that helps!
