Seems similar to Model 3 on 10.5 with the lane guidance bubbles. Is that different from the previous S version? (never had an earlier version of 3 software to compare either)

Yes, but it requires manually downloading the new maps and setting the car to use those through root.

Is the new Tesla vector map only for the CID display? What maps the MCU uses?

**EDIT - reached the end of the video, but would be interesting to see more about the preformance of the big screen with Tesla Maps. @BigD0g, IIRC, you're on old MCU, right?

Interesting I'm wondering how they have decided to show all those "bubbles" with street names that are not where you are going, maybe I'm too used to gmaps but it seems weird.

Also, have they dropped the exit signs completely? I kind of like those ...

Correct, you can't charge while the update is installing. So don't park in a Supercharger spot to do it.

Also, you won't get the new maps yet, those will come later.

Just finished applying it, and it took about 25 minutes. When I finish charging will post what new things I find.

Looks like the blue bubble is what road you’re on, and the others are just FYIs on what intersecting/crossing roads you’re about to go past...?

Very nice enhancements indeed. Focused on security (clearer direction mean less hesitation and dangerous last minute manœuvres or getting angry for missing an exit)
So no new features like waypoints?

No, no changes at all on CID side, this is pure IC navigation.

Yes, I think so, I have another video I'm uploading soon, trying to edit it, to make it a bit nicer to watch for you folks, where's @buttershrimp when I need him!
