Perhaps that is why TSLA is up 5% today?
I think the Hertz deal is more likely to be the reason for TSLA jumping 5%. Investors care more about a multi billion dollar deal than they do about a software patch going out.

NOPE!!I think the Hertz deal is more likely to be the reason for TSLA jumping 5%. Investors care more about a multi billion dollar deal than they do about a software patch going out.
I'm happy either way! I wonder what mix of cars they are going to order. Thats a large percentage of their annual production.
Given how cheap electricity is, I would be surprised if they charged for this...pretty dickishI wonder if you have to return the car at the same charge level? Also, I wonder how supercharging will work. I assume Hertz will upcharge you. Let’s them charge per mile..
You obviously don't live in the land of $.47/kWh electricity.Given how cheap electricity is, I would be surprised if they charged for this...pretty dickish
No - its jumping because market finally understands what 30% margin means (unlike 5% for Ford, 10% for GM).I think the Hertz deal is more likely to be the reason for TSLA jumping 5%. Investors care more about a multi billion dollar deal than they do about a software patch going out.
Performance models get you moved the front of the line. I somehow think if you order 100K vehicles you might just get a little priority. The rest of us peons will get pushed out even further. No - its jumping because market finally understands what 30% margin means (unlike 5% for Ford, 10% for GM).
Oh, nearly 10% now.
ps : No idea how they will deliver 100k cars before the end of '22. The orders are all so backed up now. X not available till Sep '22, Y till May '22. Hopefully the times already include the 100k deal.
When are solar panels in your forecast? You obviously don't live in the land of $.47/kWh electricity.
Once I have 60 grand to spend or when I need a new roof. 20 years? When are solar panels in your forecast?
Been there done that. Southern California Edison just made a 25% increase in our net bill. Gerrymandering peak time and underpayment for net generation. Off peak night charging went from $.13/kWh to $.19.When are solar panels in your forecast?
Why not just go solar, you’ll spend 60k in electricity over the X amount of years or you’ll spend it on something tangible that will increase the value of the house. Equity equity equity.Once I have 60 grand to spend or when I need a new roof. 20 years?
Have you never rented a car before?Given how cheap electricity is, I would be surprised if they charged for this...pretty dickish
Don't worry! You can prepay for a full tank of electrons for just $50 to avoid $5/kWh fee for returning not-full…You obviously don't live in the land of $.47/kWh electricity.
From something my wife was telling me earlier, "this model is guaranteed" means that you won't show up for your rental and have something else substituted.Anyone knows where they are available? The Hertz at JFK NY shows it, but sold out through December 2021 - strange, trying for January 2022 it doesn't appear anymore as a choice. Also have no idea what "This model is guaranteed" means.
