Hijacked Referrals

Hi All,

Picked up my SR MY 7 seater 6/30. Used my own referral code.

Have you guys seen it where instead of your code, the owner advisor uses one of their own? My expectation was that i would receive 1000 supercharging miles for the referral and another 1000 miles for the purchase, but i only received the miles for the purchase.

Please let me know your experiences and if you got a resolution.

'Owner advisor'? Not sure what that means. But I think your expectations were a bit unrealistic. Did you check with anyone with Tesla to see if you could do this?

If you refer yourself, you only get 1000 miles. This has been confirmed in other threads as well.

I was told the way around it is to make a second account for the second Tesla, in your spouse's name. Then each of your Teslas will get a referral 1000miles. Since my other car is a Model S I didn't need free miles because it already has free for life.

You would know because both get the benefit. Is that how you know?

I thought the sales advisors said they weren't allowed as employees to participate in the give-aways. I really don't recall the details.
