HK: Model X Deposit date - confirmation - Sequence # - expected delivery

Hi, but I already got my order confirmed sent by Tesla Motor on 30 Sep (ie 7 days after I clicked "order"). This is another email from HK delivery instead of Tesla Motor. That is why I feel strange and worry if my order on confirmed today.

Yes thats the hand over from the sales team to the delivery team. Since your order is confirmed now it is handed over to the delivery team and it's just what it is a welcome email

Jan 2017 will probably be still ok but any later then will be risking the FRT lol
2016 or 2017...should that be referencing to registration year or factory exit year??

It makes little difference for an electric car, since there are no year models from Tesla.

You confirmed on 30 Sept and already received a VIN? Mine on 6 Sept and still nothing.

It only change from a RNxxxx number to a 17 VIN number... No expect date of delivery yet. Mine is a fairly standard 60D.

Great! I understand there are people confirmed order on early September including me still waiting for their VIN. I don't understand how it works. Quite disappointed on HK Tesla .. they never able to answer your queries.

So nothing shows on My Tesla page? Just the RN number?

Yes. Just the RN number. Called TESLA and asked. They said there are many things like colour, seating arrangement, etc.. might affect the production queue.

Same here. I ordered a 60D with 7 seats config on Oct 8th 2016. The reservation number change from a RNxxxx number to a 17 VIN number, but no expected date of delivery yet.

Guys, don't worry. The email of delivery date will soon be sent out. I received my delivery email 2 weeks after getting the VIN (I ordered in E/Aug). Nevertheless, there is still a lot of uncertainties on the delivery date....Finger crossed...
