HOMELINK Mobile Service Install

It's supposed to automatically open and close the door as you arrive and leave. You can also program other remotes, if you have a security gate for your complex or at work, for example. Personally, I think it costs about twice what it should, but I'm thinking about getting it anyway. The cheap remote that came with the opener rattles, and the reception isn't that great from inside the car.

And may I add that the number one security reason is that there is NO remote for your garage that a dirt-bag that breaks into your car has access to!

Anyone know how long is the wait from when you place the Homelink order to when a service center contacts you? I placed my order on Dec 2 and have not heard from Tesla if the module is available for install.

i ordered around mid december and got confirmation it arrived to the service center about a week later. Received a text message a few days later asking me to schedule an appointment through my tesla app. Mobile installation was now available. It wasn't an option when i first ordered the homelink. They're supposed to come out and install jan 16.

Your car and all others used to be equipped with Homelink. New cars are not unless it is purchased separately.

I ordered a week ago, yesterday got a text to schedule service. Scheduled for service center install, they changed my appointment to mobile install and to a sooner date
