Had homelink installed on my model 3 yesterday. After a couple of hours wait for updates, the car recognized and accepted the remote code for the garage without problem. Tried the remote for the gate, but it was not recognized - no lights flashing, no change to the programming screen. Nothing. Tried for 30 seconds, then 3 minutes. Nothing. We have had several cars that recognized and programmed the gate code signal but the Tesla will not. Gate system is Elite Entry. This company tells me the system is over 30 years old. Anyone else encountered this?
Also, noted in some of the posts that homelink is suppose to be GPS based and open and close garage based on location. Have not seen this happen. Do I need to set this up or is it automatic.
