Mine "was" a Model Y one... Ordered as such. But it is the same exact one as the Model 3 and will work on the mounting point they installed on the front of the left side of the fascia of the Y... It just gets screwed in weird, but it will work. It took my tech like 30 seconds to do it and then about 30 minutes for the Mothership to sync the upgrade. A reboot later and it has been working seamlessly since.

Interesting, I ordered yesterday and normally Tesla ships out fairly quickly. It might be out of stock and they keep selling it anyway.

I assume the Homelink module can be ordered from the model 3 accessories since it is missing from the model Y page?? Any differences?

Pretty much the same as the others have responded. About a week, and then a couple days after delivery of the car for mobile service to install. With the wait.

I do remember not getting tracking info for a couple days after my card was charged, so that is normal IMO.

I got mine awhile ago they did the install today. Everything I ordered came quickly key fob , j1172 adapter and Homelink. You got the confirmation of the order correct?

Is the aftermarket HL the same as in my MS where it automatically opens and closes the garage door upon entry and exit or do you have to manually push the button? Talk about 1st world problems!

Its automatic. You set the location in your drive way and tell it how many feet from the garage door you want to open and close. Done. Works like a charm.

@TonyMS, your MY didn’t come with J1772 adapter? I got one with my charging cable.

Mine came with the adapter just got an extra to keep in car. I already had a Versicharge at home and a Juicebox at work.
