To quote Metallica 'Sad but true'.. I've written multiple letters to both the Victorian and Australian Members of Parliament about these issues multiple times, but have yet to receive a reply.

The staff just send out generic responses, so you arent missing anything. I sent one to my local MP, as well as to an MP in another suburb as I own property there. Both resposes were identical, albeit ‘signed’ by different MP’s.
