Guess what's up.....
Winter tires and a tow hitch?
Got it in One (well, 1/2 - no on the tires)
That's the 1Up USA bike rack being put through its paces, prior to re-construction. Those two Pedego electric bikes weigh 50 & 59 pounds - piece of cake for that rack even at this "tilt-out" position!
I'll be adding color in the "Hitch Install" thread, but for here: absolutely take both tires off when attempting this hitch installation - it makes the job far easier.
Still looking for that tailpipe?
Discovered a snake nest in a hard to reach place. Must have been a rattler.
Cool trick raising the car with one jack, but are your wheels chocked?
Huh. I wouldn't have guessed that pulling off the wheels would matter for the hitch - the removed rear wheels were why I added the snow tires part.
Prof & Bill: I like your answers better.
Meloccom: Thanks for the vocab lesson! But you and Saghost should read the Hitch Install thread to learn more.
Rypalmer: Chocks are for sissies. I just made sure it was pointed downhill. You know: so in case of failure it would roll away from me <rolleyes> (yes: chocks just don't show)
That would be ever so much easier if there were a link around here somewhere. I didn't see anything that sounded like that either in the first few pages of this subforum or in the first few pages of new posts. Unless I just can't read today, which is entirely possible...
It was at this moment that John realized changing a flat wasn't as difficult as he'd made it.
A fancy new three inch one with a free flow muffler and no cat?
I like the shadow effect from that strategically placed wheel.
You're up to something? I still can't get over how warm it is for Dec 5 in Alaska, and the flowers are still out, and there's even cacti, that I forgot to look at what you're up to. Alaska has sure changed with this global warming.
Yaah - it's why I had to use that particular shot. Glad someone noticed!
