I agree about the donation model. You might end up being in the hole way less $ for the electricity given the savings of a simple non-networked L2 EVSE vs. the others that are big $ and have subscription fees (e.g. Chargepoint).
When browsing Plugshare before, I found this church example: PlugShare.
I just found PlugShare which has Chargepoint and charges $. For those w/OBCs capable of 6+ kW, that's actually a pretty good price by California standards. If each handle has its own 40 amp feed and can output a full 30 amps (instead of power sharing being turned on), I can't charge that cheap at home in PG&E-land.
