Hot to fit things to look at for a backwards facing child seat?

We have a MS and we have two kids, one age 5 and one age 1. The 1-year old is traveling in a backwards facing child seat in the back seat. In previous cars we've had a mirror on the headrest that's in front of her so I could see her from the drivers seat. This is good when I'm traveling alone with her to be able to see if she sleeps, etc.
These mirrors are on any other car fastened with straps around the two metal pins that hold the back seat head rest. But the MS doesn't have pins.
Ideas of how to fasten it?

I've of course tried just strapping it around the head rest in the MS but the head rest is too pointy...
In a year or so it would also be good to be able to place a video player (dvd or other) there for long trips.
Same applies for fastening a video player or ipad or whatever on the back of the front seats for forward facing kids and long trips?

I wish they just could have kept the prototype back seat headrests (or whatever this picture is of):
