A $400 remote-controlled Cybertruck sold out shortly after pre-orders opened this week, further showing the excitement for Tesla’s radical pickup truck.
Features include functioning headlights and taillight, all-wheel drive – featuring Chill or Sport modes, and a cracked window vinyl sticker as a nod to Tesla’s broken glass blunder during the Cybertruck’s debut.
Tesla partnered with Mattel to turn the Cybertruck into two small-scale, remote-control vehicles: a track-compatible 1:64 scale and a limited-edition hobby grade 1:10 scale.
The smaller version is still available for $20. Both versions are expected to ship in December.
Mattel cautions that the photos are of design prototypes only. Final production design, colors and textures may vary.
