House hunting: what to look for w/r breaker box?

You can't install a 14-50 without a neutral, even if your application doesn't use it. That's a code violation and, in some jurisdictions, illegal.

Ooops. My electrician did it, but obviously should not have. I guess I should have had him install a 6-50 outlet and used this instead:

Or wait for the Tesla adapter to go on sale again.

Check the tax code, but I believe we upgraded from a 200 AMP To a 400 AMP due to pool, hot tub, and two electric dryers and two ovens as well as two HPWC's. I believe we wrote off some of the install when we installed solar panels, but I can't remember exactly how it was done.
