Yes it doesn’t matter. The priority goes based off your order date not when you change to MYP. There is more demand than supply for a MYLR hence receiving MYP much quicker. If you switch to MYP, you’re likely to get your car delivered in the next month, latest early august

Man I'm really torn right now. I ordered an LR back in January and it got pushed back from July to August. With prices going up, I'm wondering if I should take advantage of it and get the MYP at the lower price back from January. What I'm worried about is, that with the LR EDD projected to be August, would switching to a P actually make the EDD go out further instead of the other way around for most folks?

I ordered MYLR7 last year. Just switched to MYP this month after my delivery was delayed once again for about the 15th time. MYP VIN issued in 2 days after the change, delivery 7 days from change. Happened way faster than I planned. They probably want to clear the old much lower prices off the books ASAP.

Give it a day, mine changed the next day to updated EDD. But honestly, as you can see in my signature - I am still waiting
