Have you tried doing a shoulder check? All this technology is nice to have but you should never rely on it. Always check your mirrors and do a shoulder check.

Exactly @Koflach ! Mirror check and shoulder check. Make sure no on is there and no on is about to be there. BSM has really created lazy drivers that cut others off all the time, and they're completely clueless to it. All they seem to care now is if anyone is in the lane NOW. It's exceptionally frustrating.

I have found that the shoulder check is not very helpful because of the limited visibility of the vehicle. I have used it and rarely see my surroundings well enough to feel like it helps me very much. I am pretty confident with my mirror set up, but people moving over a lane is very hard to detect in this car and probably the extra information that I am really looking for.
