How do payments work at time of delivery?

My delivery button just showed up for delivery between Jun 7 and Jun 21. I am expecting to pay about a third of the cost in cash, and financing the rest via my own bank. For a cash payment this large, what forms of payment will Tesla accept? Personal check? Cashier's check? Wire transfer? Other? Since my bank does not have any locations in state, obtaining a cashier's check or similar takes a few days, as does wiring payment.

Any advice or tips? Starting to get excited about delivery.

They added a payment button on mytesla account. I remember options for wire and electronic, I chose electronic.

here is some text from the email before payment

If you are planning to finance directly with a bank or credit union, simply enter the value of their financing check and your cash due will decrease. Your Delivery Experience Specialist will collect the financing check from your bank or credit union when your Model S is delivered.

I wrote a personal check for about half the cost and had a check from a credit union for the rest.
Similar. I mailed a personal check for what I wanted to place down, then carried a USAA check for the balance to the delivery meet.

USAA prefers to do a bank transfer, but my product specialist, or their accounting department, dropped the ball and didn't get the info to USAA in time. USAA kindly overnighted a check to me.

Thanks everybody. If Tesla will accept a personal check a few days ahead of time, that's the most convenient. I also have USAA and they make the financing part of the equation pretty easy.

I'll keep watching the site for payment info.
