I've been fiddling with what to put on both the dash and on the touchscreen top and bottom and can't find what the best config is. So I thought I'd see what other drives use as their main configuration. I understand you'll change things, but in general I'd be curious to see what is your goto config: Left Dash Display: Right Dash Display: Top Touchscreen: Bottom Touchscreen: or Full Screen: EDIT: Right scroller: For instance, do you always leave your rear camera on at the top? I was trying to put the energy bar in the dash display, but since you can't see the Average Rated Distance remaining in the Dash, I find that I keep going back to the touchscreen. Anyways, just wondering what others have settled in on.
Left dash: energy Right dash: music Full Screen: maps (arranged to show my whole commute, N up) Note: no tech package Also, right scroller is fan speed. On road trips I may split the touchscreen with the energy meter on top and the map on the bottom temporarily while making sure I can make my destination.
Funny, nearly a year later and I'm still fiddling with this! I seem to have landed longest now with this: Left Dash Display: energy graph set at last 15 miles Right Dash Display: trip info, Wh/mi etc Top Touchscreen: slacker radio currently playing Bottom Touchscreen: Tesla weather or Full Screen:
Left dash- media right. - energy top touchscreen - media bottom - nav left scroller - music volume right scroller- fan speed
Left Dash Display: music Right Dash Display: trip Top Touchscreen: maps/nav Bottom Touchscreen: camera, or web (for plugshare) or Full Screen: nav, or sometimes the 007 defensive/offensive package (http://www.TeslaTuner.com) Right scroller: all
Left Dash: media / Nav Right Dash: Energy / Trip / Cell Phone (I switch back and forth between 15 mile graph and trip counter all the time) Top Touchscreen: Maps / Nav - Occasionally Web, but Maps is what's on when I'm driving. Bottom Touchscreen: Media Right Scroll: All
Wow, I'm amazed how different everyone sets up their dash...pretty cool we can do this! Here's mine: Left dash: Energy (15 miles) Right dash: trip info Top 17": Maps (no tech pkg) Bottom 17": media Right scroll wheel: pano roof
Left Dash: Energy/Nav Right Dash: Trip Top Touchscreen: Maps/Energy Bottom Touchscreen: Media Right Scroll: All
Left dash: Music Right dash: Trip Top Screen: Music Bottom Screen: Map (or Full Screen map) right scroll wheel: Temp (but I wish it were Map Zoom) During a road trip I may put Energy graph on the right dash and Nav directions automatically go on left dash.
Left dash: Energy/Nav Right dash: Music Top Screen: Rear Camera (I like that it covers your blind spots) Bottom Screen: Map Right Scroll: All
Left dash: Trip Right dash: Energy Top screen: Map Bottom screen: Media Right scroll: Display brightness
Left: music Right: Trips Top: nav or phone Bottom: music Wheel: everything but mostly to change sources for audio
Left: trips Right: Music most of the time, Energy on long trips Top: Rear view camera* Bottom: Music or Maps as needed Right Scroll: Cabin temperature *In this city no one ever lets you merge. If they see your turn blinker they'll hit the gas. So if I can see their nose in the camera I hit the accelerator and blinker simultaneously, and just go for it!
Left dash: Energy/Nav Right dash: Trip Top Screen: Rear Camera (I like that it covers your blind spots) Bottom Screen: Music Right Scroll: <--rarely us it.. either fan or sunroof.
Left Dash Display: Trips Right Dash Display: Music Top Touchscreen: Music or Nav. Bottom Touchscreen: Internet Right scroller: Pano Roof (now that it is warmer) On longer drives, I usually have a iPad mini below the touchscreen with Waze up
Since the dash display isn't touch screen or really interactive, I like to have it display static items. The touch screen is for the apps I interact with the most. Left Dash Display: Trips Right Dash Display: Energy graph Top Touchscreen: Map Bottom Touchscreen: Music Right scroller: Temp (never use it)
