How does a Chevy Bolt pay for electricity at a Tesla Supercharger?

Can you buy these for real? I want one....

Believe it or not, these outlet testers are a real thing, and they do work. I believe that the item in the photo is custom made for show, but a variety of household items (scissors, forks, aluminum foil, etc) can also work if you are trying to short your outlet.

That damage didn’t occurr by shorting out the outlet... but I thought it could make a neat ring for an electrician..

I think that it did. The circuit breaker failed or partly failed and so the wires melted and smoked.

Otherwise, it works without injury or damage.
