I think a couple of the Model S' stolen in previous years had their spare fob in the console, I might be wrong on that, but I think I remember seeing something like that.

I live in a pretty upscale town.. pretty much every week there's another police blotter report of at least one car being stolen.
In every single instance, the keys were left in the car and the car unlocked. It's easy to steal cars around here, just look for the keys.
Oh, and if the unlocked cars aren't stolen, lots of cell phones and ipads get stolen out of them.
