How high should the MS power tailgate reach?

I'm 5 foot 10 or 176cm tall and by default the tailgate is too low. Also, if I use the long button beep method to program the tailgate too open higher it doesn't appear to respect the new higher setting.

I can move the tailgate manually to a decent height but then the programming procedure doesn't work at all and indeed the remote close function also fails and I need to close the tailgate manually.

Is this normal or is there a fault?

Thanks, it's under warranty so I'll have it checked out.

It’s not necessarily a fault, but the long-button-push reset just isn’t taking hold. I had the same issue after my liftgate struts were replaced and a mobile ranger was able to use ToolBox to reset the control units. So, the SC should def be able to get you squared away.
