How is tax calculated. [michigan resident purchasing in ohio]

I am purchasing my model 3 in Ohio. I am a Michigan resident. How is the sales tax calculated. I was told I would be given a temporary tag for 45 days. I would recieve a registration packet In 40 days or so that I need to take to my SOS. When I register my vehicle in michigan do I have to pay a use tax again of 6% or is that taken by Tesla when I purchase in Ohio.

you only pay sales tax when you buy the car.

I purchased in Washington and registered in Alaska, I got a trip permit and paid taxes when I registered in Alaska. I believe that's the situation in most states.
