How long before delivery did you get a VIN?

Got a call from an inside delivery specialistist a few weeks ago about a possible delivery date of 8/25 (for a non performance dual motor 3). Did not give much detail and has been hard to get hold of since then.

It's a week out from delivery, my account page still shows estimated delivery of Sept to Nov and no VIN or final MVA.

How long prior to delivery did you receive your VIN?

And, anyone know what the best way to deal with a non-responsive delivery specialistist? Call the 800 number, email Tesla customer setovce, or? It's kind of taking the excitement away.

8 days and after your delivery appointment is scheduled.

I just called my delivery specialist. Her phone was in her signature. She was very responsive. I just requested my VIN for financing yesterday and she gave it to me.

Hard to tell because they don't go sequentially, but they only reserved the VINs into the 60s starting on July 1st. So you will almost surely have a production date in July or August.

I got my VIN 28JUL and took delivery today, but I was supposed to take delivery on the 15th.... long story

I've heard of 4xxxx VINs in the July production dates so I wouldn't worry too much about it. 60s is definitely late July/early August.

For reference, I had my VIN assigned 7/26 (over the phone), on account 7/29, with a 8/8 delivery date so roughly 10-12 days between VIN and delivery dates on a California delivery.

How’d you get your delivery date if you had to ask for your VIN? I called customer service yesterday and they had my VIN, bot no call from a delivery advisor yet.

It happened very fast for me. I am a day one deposit holder. Three weeks ago I changed my order from AWD to P3D. On my account, it said my delivery was pushed back to Oct-Dec. I got a call last week that they were delivering my P3D this weekend and I can pick it up next week. Blew my mind. Picking up my P3D this Thursday!!

We did have to ask for the vin. They said we would delivery before we had the vin. But, as soon as we contacted Tesla. they gave us the vin

I received my VIN and delivery date on 8/13. Scheduled to pick up 8/19.

I got a email from Inside Delivery Specialist that my AWD had shipped, and I needed to complete my financing tab for a delivery targeted for the late the following week. I didn't get a VIN until I'd ask. I communicated mostly via phone with my IDS as she was very good about answering he phone, and slower responding to emails.
