The person in Colorado that took my order, called and gave it to me.

Asked if I wanted Sept delivery, gave me est. production date and delivery date at same time.

Did say don't be surprised if it's earlier.

I don't trust the 'Dashboard' on Tesla, so it's all a mystery right now.

They stated 1 month for p85. I know it's only been a week, but 0 calls or lack of notification. Hoping for early October delivery. Should I have heard from a delivery specialist after a week?

I'd give it another week, then call. I still haven't heard from my DS, but rather a salesperson in Colorado. Don't know DS will call until car goes into production, as they will have a better idea on delivery date. Hang in there--they are cranking on end of quarter cars right now.

Yep, again, don't believe what you see on website. Mine says sourcing (which is correct), but also October delivery. Just got another email from my contact telling me production next Monday and on a carrier for delivery the week after--NOT October. Ohhhhh, the wait.

I confirmed the order on 9/4, received the generic email from Tesla, that it went into production on the 5th with an October delivery. I'm reliving my entire month prior to my driver's permit all over again. I do love this procedure though. I loved doing all of the buying and selections online and not having to deal with an ahole salesman and his manager. I'd rather pay a non-discounted price with a pleasant experience and anticipation about a vehicle that I custom ordered, rather than being pushed into a lot model with missing options or options I have no desire for. This is a great business model that's breathing new life into American car production. It's my 9th car and my 1st american.

That is waay fast but I'm sure it still seems like forever. Congrats on upgrading to the mac-daddy version! Can't wait to see the pics.

Thanks--I see you went for a P as well--you're going to LOVE it!

That's great! Glad an American car finally turned the tide. Can't wait for the pics!

Confirmed/Ordered 28 JUL

In Production 03 SEP
Production Complete 05 SEP
Delivered 09 SEP

So 6wks from start to delivery!

This is all from the website... I think I went into production earlier then 03 SEP, probably a week or so earlier. Hard to believe Tesla can start production, finish production, AND deliver a car from Cali to St Louis all in 6 days!! Tesla may be good, but they are not that good.

Anyone know how long the vehicles are generally "in production"? Mine entered production on Monday PM/Tuesday AM. What's the state after "In Production"?
Delivery is scheduled for 2 weeks from today, but I am thinking that it might come earlier if production takes a week or less.

Hi, I confirmed order on 8/19, they were slow giving me a VIN and contacting me via email. but I did get a delivery date of 9/24 and it still says sourcing parts. I was told that the car should go into production next week, so it sounds like 3-5 days in production, but not sure. I am hoping my dashboard goes to "in production" soon!

I received an email saying that it was in production a couple of days before the website reflected the status change. Hoping that it is 3-5 days because that would put my vehicle out of product either end of this week or early next week. Would have liked to do a factory pickup, but the supercharger network between the Bay Area and Seattle is not yet complete. Hoping that it doesn't take more than a couple of days to get to Seattle once production is complete.

That's great--looks like we are on same production schedule (I went into production yesterday). Maybe, just MAYBE they will be ready tomorrow or Monday and ship next week!
