How many grocery bags can you put in the rear well?

Hi,

We previously had a Model X and could get around 5 full grocery bags in the under rear deck well. With our model 3 we can only get 3 or so. This has created issues with bags falling over and the content spilling. How many grocery bags can you get in the rear well of a Model Y?

There is also a storage well in each rear corner that large, deep enough to hold a 1 gallon container of milk, water etc. plus more. Tesla sells a set of liners with carpeted covers for these storage wells.

Is there no under rear deck storage compartment in the center rear, just in front of the rear bumper?

Is there no under rear deck storage compartment in the center rear, just in front of the rear bumper?

Yes; The two side storage compartments are in addition to the two under floor compartment(s). In addition to the large under floor storage bin there is also a long shallow under floor storage area behind the rear seats that you can use although that one is not as accessible since you have to lean way into the Model Y and remove the floor cover.
