How many people are taking delivery of their Model X in March?

I didn't order either. I opened the hitch door and the trailer wiring harness is there and a place to put the hitch. Also the trailer on off button is on the screen which is what caught my eye when the DS was going over the different screen I told her I didn't order tow package the she explained how you just need to order the hitch when it becomes available. So when it becomes available I will order the hitch.

I ended up changing my order to include the tow package because I understood that additional steel reinforcement was installed for the tow hitch. Is that only if you want to tow 5000 lbs?

This is what I was told by my DS: "The tow hitch requires some additional subframe bracing that requires it be installed at the factory – it is not something that can be installed after delivery."

I don't know but I do have a place for a hitch. After reading your post I bet it's for some kind of accessory hitch but why would the wiring harness be there for a trailer and the button on the screen for pulling a trailer. Curious... I would have asked more but it wasn't something I ordered in the first place.

This hitch stuff gets more mysterious by the minute. Like I posted above, my product specialist told me that my car (ordered with the accessory hitch and not towing package) could tow up to 3500 lbs and Tesla gave me the insert (receiver) as part of the package. The tow package allowed up to 5000 lbs.

So it sounds now like all Model X's come with the attachment, wiring and plug, but you have to pay extra for the receiver (accessory hitch) or the tow package (during configuration).

I was scheduled to pick up mine today, but I got a call yesterday about it being ready next week, without a confirmed date. After clearing our schedules for the tour and all that, the news was a real bummer. So it was a great surprise to get a call today to go pick it this afternoon. I coduln't clear my calendar for today, wasn't sure if I could set up a ride for tomorrow or do a factory tour, but Tesla was very accommodating with all logistics. so I'll be heading to the factory tomorrow for the pick up. So I am back to March delivery date. :)

All confirmed for delivery at the factory tomorrow morning (VIN 11XX P90DL with tow)! Could have picked it up today, but my detailer is finishing up another MX. I'm kinda bummed to pick up the car and almost immediately not get to drive it, but I really want the XPEL/22ple on before it goes anywhere. I'm also going to try and get on the list for a Model 3 at the same time ... the factory prep guy who called me thought I would be able to (no promises though).

Got mine yesterday afternoon. I love it! Unfortuneatly, there is a deep scratch on the inside passeneger side 2nd row roof glass. It needs to be replaced. That sucked a lot of the fun and energy out of the delivery experience. I know Tesla will be great about fixing it but, come on, 4 weeks of QC and no one checked the windows? There was aslo dried adhesive above the rear view mirror the length of the wire-cover.

I was scheduled to take delivery this evening at the factory (VIN 21xx) but my DS called this morning to say it is still in QC.

I let my DS know that it is unacceptable to give someone such short notice, especially during a weekday when work schedules must be shifted, to cancel last minute.

I am hopeful QC is thorough and there are no issues given the amount of time they are taking

I am scheduled to take delivery tomorrow and I too am dreading the 510 area code calls. If the delivery does get postponed, I am planning to cancel my order.
