You have Roadster #1408. So yes, you are correct. I'm #609. No way I'm parting with this thing absent serious financial difficulties.
production customer 1408 in the North America - there were non-US cars as well as cars like Validation Prototypes with a different VIN sequence
What is the 0-60 on these cars. They are really beautiful. I wish Tesla would make a reasonably priced roadster. I'll bet it would be a big hit.
Elon should put out a new batch of these things. The new roadster (vaporware) just doesn't do it for me. Imagine an updated one of these originals with the autopilot suite, raven suspension, and better electrical system. I'd be very, very interested.
Thanks for the responses. I love mine and likewise would never part with it. However, the range has deteriorated (probably/maybe can get 170 miles in range mode) but I'm on the wait list for the 3.0 battery upgrade (2 years now). Hopefully that will come through some day.
my beloved 2010 Roadster 521 left my ownership in 9/2017, immaculate, with factory hardtop, 12,000 miles. Buyer was what I would call "suspicious" individual(I stupidly allowed car to leave with my plates and he ran up $800 fines on toll roads on my plates)...claimed the accelerator 'stuck' and he piled into some object and destroyed it(funny, never stuck on me)...got email from fellow roadster friend in California with a link to Copart listing of my wrecked baby...broke my heart. Add my roadster to the wrecked list. Driving MS 100D, waiting patiently for Roadster 2021
There were 19 allocated to Australia and the other day there were 3 advertised on Carsales.com for around AU$150k
#846, first one imported to Canada, is alive and well on Vancouver Island. Replaced the batteries and PEM last year.
How would you count Elon's that is floating around in space? It is not on the road, but it should be alive and well.
I'm still driving VIN#0055. Signature 100 Roadster VIN 55, Signature Green by Curt posted Apr 15, 2015 at 4:59 PM Roadster55Autumn.jpg by Curt posted Nov 9, 2015 at 12:32 PM
#516 is in for annual and minor maintenance by Javier at Executive MotorWerkz but still happily running on it's original PEM and battery. After 11 years it finally needs TPMS sensor replacements and trunk struts.
