How Many "T" is a Tesla

Once you experience the ride of a Tesla, one starts to inquire. The complex science of what drives these cars is almost too complex to image. I do wonder how Mr. Tesla understood it all...

Can one translate HP to T?

They aren't really compatible units...

a Tesla is a measure of magnetic field strength whereas HP is a measure of mechanical power.

The magnetic field strength depends on the windings inside the motor and the current moving through it.
HP is a product of mass, velocity, and acceleration.
