The MIA Register shows two new ones in Feb 2015, Private Imports but does anyone know how many Tesla's there are in New Zealand?
This article thinks there are six. http://www.radionz.co.nz/national/programmes/thiswayup/audio/201752656/electric-vehicles-and-rapid-charging

The MIA data excludes cars that have entered NZ as "used" because they were registered before they got here.
A friend of mine in Wellington thinks he spotted a P85D at the Miramar Studios and believes it belong to Peter Jackson.
Hi all, I think that Sir Peter's is a P85+. It appeared on the "Bring Tesla to New Zealand" Facebook Page on 19th March: https://www.facebook.com/TeslaTalkNZ (click on the photo of the car to enlarge it and read the badge). Cheers, Alan.
With the six in the Radio NZ report last year and the three new imports this year we must be up to nine or more. Link to the MIA sales data: http://www.mia.org.nz/Portals/0/MIA-...YTD%202015.pdf
Great news, one more new import in May, so that's 4 new imports for the YTD 2015 plus the six here already. New Count of TEN Tesla in NZ. is it 10 Tesla or 10 Teslas? what do you call a group of Tesla cars
A delta of Teslas? (as in how the delta symbol is used in mathematics to represent a change or difference)
Looks like NZ had a good month with 4 for September 2015, and this is with no stores, super chargers or service. http://www.mia.org.nz/Portals/0/MIA-Sales%20Data/Vehicle%20Sales/Monthly%20Passenger%20Sales%20Stats/Passenger%20Registration%20Stats%20YTD%202015.pdf
Anyone know what Tesla's position is for NZ in terms of new cars, if I buy a new one from Australia, would it have a warranty later when Tesla finally comes to NZ or would the warranty still be stuck with Oz?
Hi, Well I can tell you there is currently no warranty when you import it into NZ (and you have to sign a contract to that effect before they will accept your deposit). IMHO Tesla are a fairly long way off establishing an official presence in New Zealand. Cheers, Alan.
