How much do Tesla charge to replace a M3 pollen filter?

As above does anyone know the cost of this? As the car has done 32k I think it could do with changing now, I've never left a filter longer than 20k in the past. Thanks

It's a pretty simple job. Lots of DIY videos on YouTube. Lots of aftermarket suppliers.

Rather than set number of miles, time on the road and the dusty character of the places you drive are factors.

Part of my driving is in a freaking dust bowl (in the summer when we have the HVAC roaring, too). I doubt that I will be able to do more than two summers on a set of filters regardless of the mileage.

Thanks, tbh I don't mind doing it myself but I'm thinking if they don't charge much I'll also get them to fit the (hopefully FOC) mud flaps and do the wiring loom mod etc at the same time :)

Tesla charged me $39 in labor plus $34 in parts (2 filters @ $17 each). This was in conjunction with some other items, so not sure if the labor would be that cheap if it was the only reason for the visit. I think the official labor rate at my SC is $195/hr.

It is a total PITA to change on our RHD cars, as space in the driver's side footwell is tight. I had a look, as I was thinking of replacing the standard filter with the HEPA filter option, but decided against it when I saw that you needed to be a contortionist to get at it. It looks as if it might be easier to access on LHD cars, as then it would be under the glovebox I guess, but on our RHD cars it's a fair bit more awkward.

I understood it was a pain to change as its on the drivers side on RHD cars which means the footrest needs to be removed in addition to the other parts.

@davidmc should be able to confirm:

RHD Air filter
It's a right pain in the butt

The pedals and footrest are in the way

The panels are easy to get off, but getting in to the screw to undo is a nightmare.

But once you have done it once it's a lot easier to do again
