I've read that sound insulation that one finds in a luxury vehicle adds extra weight of around 200 lbs. Also that Tesla did not install good sound insulation materials because it would penalize the range. Now that the range of the X is 371 miles perhaps the extra weight of good sound insulation would not seem to penalize the range as much as if the range was only 200 miles. Personally, I would sacrifice 25 or 50 miles of range out of 371 miles for good quality sound insulation that one would expect from an $80,000 plus vehicle.

Almost non detectable.
I will say though, I absolutely love my 19” OEM snow package. It is so much quieter.

I might even go for 19” rims for summer once the summer tires are shot.

19's don't even show as up as an "out of stock" product on the page for X items. Wonder if they have been discontinued??
