How much is tax and licensing, etc?

I'm trying to see if I have enough funds to just pay cash for the car. It'll be a little tight.

Can you post how much your tax, license, registration, etc costs? Or if anyone knows the formulas to figure out, that'd be great too.

My sales tax rate is 7.25%

They sent me a Pro Forma sales contract saying it's $55,000 + $1,000 for destination and doc fee. Just trying to figure out what's left since I already have $3500 down.

I wish that Fed credit could be applied instantly. That would really give me a buffer. Oh well.

In addition to sales tax, the only other fees were DMV VLF/Registration of just over $600 and tire fee of $7. Not sure if DMV fees vary by County (I'm in L.A. County).

Whew. Just $88 over than my ballpark estimation. Man, $4k in sales tax and I can't deduct it. Stupid tax law.
