For the first time I have exceeded my home WiFi (100Gb/month satellite). Checked with my provider and they said I have been uploading significant files which seem to coincide with getting my MX.
Does the MX upload a lot of data over Wifi?
My provider can't give me more data per month, so the car will have to be disconnected.

Blame unsecure/unpatched routers/access points hole or torrent.

Last month, my X total upload is 4.2GB. I drove ~ 2k5 miles last month and opted in driving data sharing with Tesla.

You can disable these two sharing options somewhere in your setting to reduce your upload bandwidth.

It depends on your router. I’d turn off WiFi in your car if you have bandwidth cap.

I just checked: 1.5 GB up 1.4 GB down in the last 30 days. Less before that, so it looks like more recent AP versions have been sending up more data for centralized training. The home Internet only has 1Mbps upload so it's possible that more will be sent if there's a faster link. If you want to keep easy track of all this stuff the Google Wi-Fi router has a great app for tracking all your device data usage.
