How reliable is model x?

It’s only been a month and my MX won’t charge. I had to leave it in a service station.

In the first week I hit the side view mirror on a parking structure and those lethargic shoddy service people are still fixing it and now this. I did t even enjoy having this car now.

Is it always like this? How reliable is MX?

I plugged it in many super chargers and it wont charge. Spent nearly an hour with roadside assistance and they told me to leave the car in a service center.

Side mirror is my fault but taking 1 month to fix it with over 4 visits with half assed work each time is really irritating and stupid service.

Ouch. Repairing a mirror might take a while. Mainly because it usually means a trip to a body shop. That can take some time. No idea on your charging problem. Charging problems (as in not working at all) are pretty rare. You can check in the Tesla app on your phone (although those status messages often are not vey useful). But a text message or email to your service center should get a better response.

Did you get a loaner vehicle? You should have. I've never failed to get a loaner, even for simple stuff, although sometimes it was, shall we say, a rather vintage Tesla. But I could always plug it in at home.

It means everything. In short, am I having the luxury car experience or not? So far I didn’t.

That’s still a lot. 2 visits in 3 months. How long was the car in service center. Did they give u a loaner. The Santa Clara one said they don’t have any loaners.

My 5th year with Tesla now - My S and now my X both bullet proof - no issues.

Coming up on one year in our X; 12k miles and counting. No major issues so far. Spouse also hit the side mirror on a structure. Mobile service replaced it a few days later, no muss, no fuss.

It’s one visit and I waited for it. Took 1 hour. They do have loaners though.
