j/k... the factory is doing deliveries and associated tours a lot. I bet just spending a day there you could get in on a tour.

I know a college group building an EV in a competition and they got a tour of the factory recently - so its not only purchasers

I have helped a couple of college groups arrange tours, but that fits with an internal educational mission at Tesla (also doesn't hurt with overall recruiting in the long run).
As much as everyone would like to help out the OP, the best advice is probably to have him contact Tesla directly. While it's unlikely he can have a tour without purchasing the car and taking delivery at the factory, Tesla may make it possible. Never know without asking. All we can do is surmise what may or may not be possible. But we can't make it happen (unless someone wants to offer to take him along as a guest on their tour).
