The only way to do this (IMHO) between any two provinces is like this.
Buy the car and AB and register it there.
Do not register it in BC and keep driving with AB plates.
You will have to get some sort ID proving you are a resident of AB (Proof of address can be obtained if you can show something like Utility bill, rent agreement etc with your name on it).
