How to connect to a Wi-Fi network without Internet?

I'm using a Wi-Fi connection on my car, while on drive, that connects to a USB LTE Modem pluged to a Raspberry Pi that works as a Wifi hotspot for the car.

However, I noticed that if the LTE Modem loses internet connection (in a region of poor coverage, for example), the car automatically disconnects from Wi-Fi.

I want to try to keep the car connected to the Wi-Fi even if it loses connection, since I'm also using the Raspberry Pi as a CarPlay server to use in the car browser.

Do any of you know how does the car checks if Internet is available? I was hoping to set something up on the Pi in order to "trick" the car into thinking it is connected to the Internet and not drop the Wi-Fi connection.

(There are also other situations where I needed to connect to an "internetless" Wifi connection, like for example in my garage in order to change the settings of my Wall Connector, and the car will not allow that.)
